Refund policy

Effective 21 September 2026

Draft for review. This was written against what the software actually does, which is the hard part, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have counsel read it before you rely on it — particularly the liability, indemnity and governing-law terms, and anything touching state regulatory obligations.

Short version: if Muriel did not do what you paid for, tell us and we will refund you. We would rather lose the payment than argue about it.

Subscriptions

Fourteen days, no questions. Email us within 14 days of your first payment on a plan and we will refund it in full, whatever you used it for.

After 14 days a subscription is refundable pro rata for the unused part of the current period where a refund is requested for a good reason — the product not working, data coverage that turned out to be materially less than the site described, or a charge you did not expect.

Renewals

We refund a renewal charged within the last 30 days if you did not intend to renew and have not meaningfully used the service since. Nobody should pay for a year of something they stopped using in February.

What we do not refund

If an answer was wrong in a way that cost you the credits, say so — that is a product failure and we will put the credits back.

Outages

A significant outage earns a pro-rata credit for the affected period on request, and we will usually apply it before anyone asks.

How to ask

Email info@murielai.io from the address on the account, with what you want refunded and why. We reply within three business days. Refunds return to the original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear, which is your bank's timing, not ours.

Chargebacks

Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and usually suspends the account automatically, and an email is faster for both of us.
