Muriel AI

Muriel AI, Inc.

AI native data management for water

Muriel AI turns the compliance records of America’s public water systems into one live, queryable source, and builds the agents and APIs that put it to work for the people who keep drinking water safe.

The Muriel agent: a question about California, the tools it ran, and the start of its answer.

Our mission

Every drinking water decision should start from the record.

Drinking water is among the most closely regulated things people consume, and its records are public. But they are spread across state systems that each publish in their own way, so the people who rely on them spend their time rebuilding data instead of acting on it. We exist to make that record one source, current and complete, that anyone can ask.

What we build

One platform, three ways to use it.

Everything we make sits on the same foundation: the compliance record of U.S. public water systems, brought together from disconnected sources and put into one shape.

The Muriel data platform Requirements, results, violations and locations, in one schema, checked against federal limits, with every change kept.
Disconnected, siloed data sources Water quality records spread across separate systems, each in its own format, with no common way to search or compare them.

Who we serve

Regulators

State primacy agencies and federal programs that need to see every system at once and act before a trend becomes a violation.

Utilities

Water systems that want to compare their results with their neighbours and prepare for new rules before they apply.

Consultants and engineers

Firms scoping treatment, planning capital work and answering clients from a system’s full history.

Companies serving the water sector

Treatment, lab, metering and software providers finding the systems with the problems they solve.

Researchers and data scientists

Teams studying water quality across states and decades, starting from clean, consistent data.

AI builders

Developers who want drinking water data inside the assistants and agents they already use.

How we work

From the record, not estimates

Every answer comes from results a state published. We do not model, impute or fill in values.

Near real time, no hardware

We read what states publish on every refresh. Nothing to install at a utility, nothing for a utility to report twice.

We show our work

Answers come with the rows behind them and the date each state’s data stops.

Honest about gaps

When a state’s feed stalls, we say so on the page that sells the product, the same day.

Information, not determinations

Only a state primacy agency decides compliance. We help people get there faster, from better information.

Independent

Muriel AI is not affiliated with the EPA or any state agency.

Leadership

Aaron McGarvey, Founder

Aaron has spent his career in drinking water data: enterprise analytics at American Water, leading data and analytics at StormSensor, directing data and integrations at 120Water, and founding the water industry consultancy Tomea. He started Muriel AI to give everyone who works on drinking water the live, searchable view of compliance data he spent years building inside the industry.
